This apple and chili paste is a must-have in any Mauritian home! We enjoy our chili paste with pretty much all our dishes. It is our way to add a fiery twist to everything from a simple grilled chicken to a sweet pineapple.
- 100g fresh chilies
- 2 green apples
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp apple vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp fine salt
Cut the tail end of the chilies.
You can take off the seeds depending on how fiery you want your paste to be.
Take off the apple seeds but leave the peel on.
Peel the garlic.
Add everything in the blender including the salt, oil, and vinegar. Blend till you get a smooth paste of your liking.
