Juicy spicy tuna with sautéed runner beans

This spicy tuna dish must be one of the easiest dishes to prepare while being one of the most mind-blowing ones! The light spicy marinade adds a kick to the tuna and the sautéed runner beans is as easy to make and compliments it very well.

INGREDIENTS

Spicy tuna:

  • 200g line caught tuna steak
  • 4 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 1 medium ginger finger finely chopped
  • 1 medium size chili chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Sautéed runner beans:

  • 1 handful of runner beans
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

Spicy tuna:

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and add the tuna. Let it sit in the marinade for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, heat up your griddle pan and add the tuna when piping hot. Turn both sides until cooked to your liking.

I like mine pink inside therefore it is important to keep in mind that the fish will still cook for a while after being out of the pan.

Sautéed runner beans:

Heat up your wok on high heat and add the oil. Once the oil is hot, throw in the garlic and onion, and cook until brown. Then add the runner beans and soy sauce, and sizzle until they start to shrivel.


Cooking the tuna and beans

Serve the beans piping hot and the steak warm with a delicious cup of Thai basil infusion.
