- Humpback whale season runs from July to November | sperm and pilot whales are seen all year round;
- We do not offer specific pilot whale tours as they are mainly found while searching for sperm whales;
- There is a 75% chance of seeing humpback whales during the season;
- There is a 60% chance of seeing sperm whales and pilot whales;
- There is a 90% chance of seeing dolphins from our Tamarin departure;
- Coffee and cake served on the boat in the morning;
- We recommend a departure time of 6:30 am for the best experience.

OUR APPROACH
We are unwavering in our commitment to protecting marine animals and the environment they live in. We strictly abide by the rules established by international law, which call for respectful interaction at all times.
Adherence to Distance Guidelines:
We keep a minimum of 50 meters for dolphins and 100 meters for whales between us and the animals at all times.
Avoiding Obstruction:
We never stand in a marine animal’s way or attempt to change its course.
No Sudden Movements:
Whether we are maneuvering the boat or in the water, our movement is always gentle and calculated in order not to disturb marine life.
No Touching or Feeding:
We do not allow any physical contact with any of the marine life nor do we allow feeding them.
Limited Interaction Time:
We reduce our impact on the animals by limiting our interaction with dolphins and whales whether from the boat or in the water.
Active Monitoring:
We continually assess the animals’ behavior during our interactions and immediately cease the interaction and retreat in any sign of disturbance.
YOUR SAFETY MATTERS Boat license:
We run our operation on licensed crafts that abide by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Mauritius.
Dolphin & whale watching license:
We are authorized under the Tourism Authority (Dolphin and Whale Watching) Regulations 2012 to undertake dolphin and whale watching activities with clients.
